Changhong Sponsor the Italian Serie A

On the 25th of March, 2016, in the international fashion city of Milan, Darwin Huang (Vice General Manager of Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd.), Jared Yang (Vice General Manager of Overseas Marketing & Sales) and Chaim Ning (General Manager of European Marketing), held a signing ceremony with the Italian Serie A official agency. Changhong, as the only home appliance sponsor of the Italian Serie A, goes into the Italian market with a strong presence and open up a new journey into Europe.

The Serie A competition is regarded as one of the world’s highest levels of football leagues, also commonly known as the "Little World Cup". Joining the Serie A not only reflects the enterprise strength of Changhong, but also shows the belief that they want to take their vision and commit to the development in the European market.

Vice General Manager of Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd., Darwin Huang said "Changhong has always insisted globalisation business philosophy has been committed to the core technology, marketing, brand management and service."

Changhong continuously create competitive advantages to enhance the international competitiveness of their enterprises. The European market is an important strategic market for Changhong and will continue to vigorously expand into Europe, as well as further increase their overseas branches, continuing to strengthen their influence along the "The Belt and Road" route.

In 2016, Changhong will introduce the CHiQ brand to overseas markets, with a focus on high-end, intelligent products, with its first stop in Europe.

Ten years of accumulation

In 2005, Changhong entered the European market, investing in a  factory in Prague, Czech Republic. With more than 7,200 kilometres between Mianyang and Prague, the factory carries the hopes and dreams of the Changhong people. In 2007, the Changhong Prague factory was officially put into operation, covering an area of over 110 thousand square meters.

Since 2008, Changhong started its own brand in Europe and setup a marketing centre in Berlin in 2011. After years of efforts and experience, the Changhong brand moved into a fast development period through regions covering Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia and other EU countries. For many years, the growth of Changhong has maintained more than 20%, including sales growth in the Italian market of over 100% in the past three years. The European market has become the largest overseas market for Changhong, accounting for 35% of total overseas sales.

In 2014 and 2015, Changhong TV sales ranked first in Europe for all Chinese companies.

By the end of 2015, annual sales of Changhong TV's were in excess of over one million units.

Changhong, one of the TV giants, has now officially joined hands with one of the leaders in football, the Serie A league, to strengthen their position in Europe.

CHiQ is ready

On 24th March, 2016, Changhong held a CHiQ appraisal event, announcing to the world that the CHiQ smart TV has officially landed in overseas markets and globalisation of the Changhong brand has taken a new step again.

The Changhong high-end brand - CHiQ - will officially land in Europe in April.

With its UHD picture quality and smart solutions, the CHiQ TV also carry interactive functions, such as “category to see” and “take away to see”. With its "category to see" function, it will enable consumers to connect their smartphone and TV together, so they can watch any game, anywhere at home with a mobile phone.
